ACCESS CONDITIONS
Be our member.
Be a Type1 Diabetic.
APPLICATION
The invitation form to apply for the guardian of a dog from the Pata D'Açúcar Program is sent by email to the members, on a date established by the Board.
This application takes place once a year and is entirely free.
CANDIDATE SELECTION
For each Dog in the Program, 2 candidates are selected (1 effective + 1 substitute), by the Selection Committee, after analyzing the application and conducting an in-person interview.
GUARDIAN'S BUILD-UP
In the end of the selection phase, the selected guardians attend a training course, free of charge provided by the Training Department of the Pata D'Açúcar Association, in order to prepare them for the dog's daily alerts, health and well-being.
